Permissions & Access

Last updated: March 27, 2025

Echo requires certain permissions to function properly with calendar integrations, video calls, and other third-party applications. Here’s how to resolve permissions issues:

  1. Calendar Access

    • Problem: Echo is not syncing meetings from your calendar.

    • Solution: Make sure Echo has permission to access your calendar (Google or Microsoft). Go to Settings > Integrations, select your calendar provider, and ensure that Echo has the correct permissions to read and sync events.

    • Fix: Re-authenticate by disconnecting and reconnecting the calendar integration. You may need to grant additional permissions in your calendar settings.

  2. Video Call Permissions

    • Problem: Echo is not joining your video calls.

    • Solution: Ensure Echo has permission to access your camera and microphone for video calls. In your video conferencing app (Zoom, Teams, etc.), verify that Echo is listed as a participant and has the necessary permissions.

    • Fix: Check the meeting settings to confirm that Echo is allowed to join automatically, and verify that your microphone and camera are properly configured.

  3. Third-Party App Permissions

    • Problem: Echo is not syncing with your CRM or other integrations.

    • Solution: Check the integration settings in Settings > Integrations. Make sure you’ve authorized Echo to access the third-party tool (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Asana).

    • Fix: If the integration has been disconnected, disconnect and reconnect it. Grant all required permissions to Echo for smooth functionality.
